Seems I am going to post mostly flowers this week... =) Anyway, this flower I saw while on the Salcedo Weekend Market in Makati City. That time, I attended the Yummy Weekend, and since this is a market place, aside from the foods, there were also some plants being sold. I am so interested with this plant because it looked like part of the leaf, yet it had red colors. It's like pineapple, only that this is red. There were different variants of this plant, there were yellow and pink as well.

I now your leaf-like flower. We buy it for huge dollars as an indoor plant. Once the red is gone, I never can get it back, no matter how long I keep it.

ReplyDeleteMy mom grew a lot of bromeliads in Florida. They are leaves, and they like to be watered from above, collecting water in the curved leaves. I have one growing indoors here in Seattle, but not so pretty as yours. Nice post for Ruby Tuesday.
