This was taken quite a long time ago, I just saw it through my files and thought it might be a nice to share it for this week's Sky Watch Friday:
Our house faces the sunset, but rare do I get to see the sunset's beauty because the house fronting our house has two stories, and it pretty much blocks the great view of the sky. Last summer, sunsets were mostly of reddish color, so when I get to see the sky turn fiery orange, I quickly went out to take a picture of it. Yes, this fence was on the side of our house - it didn't look good, but this fence really guards us from the robbers. We decided to put this up when the whole family went to dad's hometown to visit his grave. The house was left alone, and our neighbor suggested we put up this fence due to the increasing number of houses being robbed in the neighborhood.
I had to put up a ladder and climb a few steps up in order to get this shot. If only I didn't have fear of heights, I should've climbed further up to get a much nicer shot. But I guess this will do... for now. Should the skies turn orange again, I will surely swallow my fear and take the guts to stand in our roof to capture a great moment like this.
