Upon entering the Robinson's Place Manila, my friend K and I were instantly wowed by the red umbrellas! Good thing we both took our cameras with us - it was so nice getting pictures of places and things unexpectedly.
This week's theme on Ruby Tuesday is "thanksgiving," but we don't have Thanksgiving celebration here in the Philippines the way Americans do, so I am really sorry if I cannot post pictures that goes with the theme. I hope my non-thanksgiving red photos will be just okay.

Those umbrellas look so stylish. But would they work as well in a rainstorm? Style wins over function here, and these are great in red!
ReplyDeleteHi Jenn! Love this umbrella display! Have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteohh those are so cool!
ReplyDeleteI remember when I was a kid, my grandma would take me to relatives celebrating "Araw ng Pasasalamat"(I think it is a gesture of thanks for a good harvest or something.)May be that's Thanksgiving Pinoy style.
ReplyDeleteNice umbrellas, perhaps they are parasols?
ReplyDeletea creative way of using umbrellas! they remind me of umbrellas on those dainty Japanese geisha dolls.
ReplyDeleteyour non-Thanksgiving photo is fantastic!!
ReplyDeletea great mall scene, so pretty.
Great shot. I love those umbrellas... they look so festive.
ReplyDeleteNice red umbrellas. Thanks for leaving me a comment. In 1968 (probably before you were even born) I visited Manila when I was teach for DOD schools on Okinawa. I like the old part of Manila. I attended mass Christmas day at a cathedral there.
ReplyDeleteI miss that place jenn! Kailan pa kaya ako makauwi dyan...
ReplyDeleteReally pretty umbrellas. Smaller ones would look quite lovely for home interior decoration purposes I think.
