Bougainvillea

In the province of La Union - where my father hailed - the bougainvillea flower is their official provincial flower. Everywhere you go, you'll see bougainvillea flower in different colors. Even streets were decorated with this plant!

These two images were captured in my Aunt Julie's garden when I went to La Union last May. She has a lot of different kinds of bougainvillea in her garden, but these two were considered my favorites.

    Yup, bougainvilla are very easy to grow in our place jenn, at first you won't appreciate its beauty but when different colors of them line through the streets or gardens, then they're such beauties. thanks for visiting me.

    A lovely version of this plant grows up the side of our house beyond the second foor. Its only problem is that there are long sharp thorns on the stems. I love it anyway, especially in the many colors that embellish our town. I love your closeup views of the blossoms.

    Oooh, I love the lilac one! I've only seen pink or red. So pretty, considering they're not actually the flowers!
