I still haven't organized all my files, so I just went to my Flickr files to dig up something. I saw this and thought I did a nice shot of it, considering that I am not really good in taking pictures of orchids. I don't know what this one is called, if you happen to know, please tell me. Thanks!
Taken last July 2008 in the Salcedo Village Weekend Market in Makati City. I was there for the Yummy Weekend, but decided to roam around and take pictures as well.

ReplyDeleteFlower Identification: Oncidium Orchid, Golden Shower Orchid
ReplyDeleteHi Jen,
These Golden shower were the first orchids my Dad and Mum grew in the 1960s in Sarawak. We didn't consider them precious. But as one of your comments say that it is unusual to have yellow orchids, I think it has become "Upmarket" I see them in Singapore hotel. Now I am in NZ, your pix causes nostalgia to surge through me. Thanks.
Ann
I do a lot of plants, not not so much on orchids.
