Off to Baguio and La Union

I got home around 10PM last night from Dumaguete, but I am leaving again, this time to Baguio and La Union. I was supposed to leave on March 1, but I just found out last night that the grand parade of the Panagbenga Festival in Baguio will be tomorrow, so I will be taking the bus to Baguio at midnight tonight so I will be in Baguio around 5:30 tomorrow morning. After this post I will be logging out to fix my things.

I will be staying in La Union until March 5, in time for my dad’s death anniversary. I will be then taking the 11PM bus trip back to Manila so I could be home around 6AM of March 6th. After that, I will then be able to update the blogs normally. =)

Bulaklak (Flowers)

Night Macro

Sweet Roses

{One of my favorite subjects in taking pictures are the flowers. But in so many flowers I have taken pictures of, none is more beautiful than these roses, because these were the first flowers I have received. Imagine, at age twenty eight, it was just now that I received flowers?!?}

{However, these were not from a significant other. These were given by one of my first friends online. He's one sweet and kind American, who's always ready to help me when it comes to Internet matters. If not for some concrete reasons, he and I should've been lovers now, but since none of us were willing to migrate to a different country, our relationship will just remain as friends.}

Sa iyo, Stephen.. maraming salamat!

{To you, Stephen... thanks so much!}

Greetings from Dumaguete!

{This blog entry is posted in all my blogs}

Tito Tony - a Couples for Christ member and a co-worker of one of the Singles for Christ member from Qatar (a good friend of our SFC friend Marilou) checked us (Marilou, brother, and I) at a hotel in Obdulia's Business Center, just next to the St. Catherine of Alexandria Cathedral. Staying in Tanjay City - 31 kms. away from Dumaguete City - for two days was a great and relaxing experience, and we are looking forward to see a whole lot of Dumaguete City from this afternoon until tomorrow afternoon.

Brother and I walked from the hotel to go look for a laundry shop, but the shops we checked told us that we could get the clothes as early as tomorrow night... good thing, the owner of one of the shops arrived and was happy to get our clothes and wash it asap. Thank God for angels! Foods? I ate a whole, whole lot, especially while we were in Tanjay. It was feast every meal!

Anyway, this'll just be a quick post... just wanted to say that I am doing very fine and that I will be home before tomorrow ends. Will resume the blog posts starting Friday.

F = Fish

Loboc River

While taking the river cruise along Loboc River in Bohol, I found this fish very cute and quite ironic because fishes should be in the water, yet this fish is on air. =) Well, it was just a decorative fish, but I am sure you'll agree with me that it was cute.

Street Wonder

Flower

K and I loved walking and checking out sights the time we had our vacation back in November 2008, and while walking from the Rizal Boulevard back to our hotel, I noticed this flower by the sidewalk, so I stopped for a while to capture its beauty.

From Orchidarium

To finish off the series of lantana flowers for this month...

Today's Flowers

Rizal Park

I take you back to Rizal Park again, but this was taken along the grounds of the Orchidarium, one of the few gardens in the park. I loved the pure yellow color of this kind, I always think that yellow is the happiest of all colors, and seeing yellow flowers is enough to cure the blues away.

Next month, I will start a new set of flowers. Thanks for dropping by!

Butterflies

To finish off the animals from Baluarte in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur...

Baluarte

This kind of butterflies were abundant in the butterfly sanctuary in Baluarte. Located next to the picnic area, people are very much encouraged to interact with the critters, but of course, all are required to give some respect to the fragile animals. I am liking this butterfly for it was very still despite people getting near at them.
