Tipanan (Date)

Sa dalawang araw kong nanatili sa Dumaguete City, masasabi kong paborito kong puntahan ang Rizal Boulevard. Bukod sa isang magandang lugar para magpalipas ng oras, iba't ibang uri rin ng mga tao ang makikita - may naglalakad o nagja-jogging, merong nagchi-chismisan, may mga pamilyang nagpi-picnic, at meron din namang mga magsing-irog na ineenjoy ang oras sa pagtanaw sa dalampasigan. Kung makapagsasalita lamang ang mga puno, tiyak marami siyang istoryang maikukwento.

{In my two days stay in Dumaguete City, I could say that my favorite place there was the Rizal Boulevard. Aside from the fact that it was a nice place to stay at, you could also see different kinds of people in the area. There were people walking or jogging, some take the time to chit-chat, families do their picnics, and there were also lovers who enjoy each other's companies by looking at the beach. If the trees could talk, for sure, it would have lots of stories to tell.}

Ito po ay naka-schedule na lahok, sa kasalukuyan, kami po ng aking kuya ay nasa Cebu City, kaya hindi muna kami makakaikot, pero lahat ay inaanyayahang mag-iwan ng komento, at babalikan na lang po namin ang inyong mga blogs pagka-uwi namin. Salamat!

E - Eagle of the North

This is the Eagle of the North, located along Jose D. Aspiras Highway in Agoo, La Union. Brother and I went to Agoo last May as part of my church hopping, but sadly, the place was a bit of a disaster because a strong typhoon just passed. Actually, it's much better to take a picture of this huge bird on the other side, but there was a dead branch by its head.

Off to Cebu and Dumaguete!

I may not have time later tonight or tomorrow morning, so I will be posting this now. Tomorrow, brother and I (together with Marilou - an SFC friend from La Union) will be traveling to Cebu City to attend the International Conference of Singles for Christ. So far, things are in order… I just need to know which places we will check upon arrival and on Thursday.

Monday morning, brother and I will take the boat to Dumaguete City and will stay there until afternoon of the 26th.

My blog posts will have to take a pause (as I don’t own a laptop), but some blogs have scheduled posts and I will try to update as often as I can by getting into an Internet Cafe, so please do check back once in a while if there will be new posts.

Marching Band

While walking around the Silliman University, I noticed a poster in one of the university's bulletin boards about a parade scheduled on later in the afternoon. The organizers' cell phone numbers were in the poster, too, so I immediately sent a text message asking about details about it because we were already there, might as well check it out.

The parade commenced around 3PM, and K & I were like crazy tourists documenting it. Crazy..but we loved it! Come to think of it, it was just the two of us taking pictures of them!

From Edsa Shrine

To continue with the lantana flowers for this month:




This was taken last 02 January 2009 in EDSA Shrine - Ortigas. I was to meet the sister of a blogging friend and since we were already in Ortigas, might as well drop by the church to say a prayer as I haven't set foot in the said church.

After meeting with Ms. JenL at a mall near the church, my sister and I got lost (in a way) inside the mall, but it proved to be a blessing as we exited towards the back part of the church. From there we decided to check out the rooftop of the church - curious as to what the stairs are for. The rooftop not only has a great stations of the cross, it also had some lush greenery, and among the plants there was the lantana. I was amazed to see different colors coming from one plant so I took a picture.

Then, sister and I left to carry on with the day.
