J = Jars

RG Pottery

RG Pottery

These jars were from RG Pottery in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. They are called "burnay" in Ilocano dialect, which means clay jars. Each of these jars are handmade and is a very big product of the city. These images were taken last November, during my last visit to the place.

Music Box

Music Box

Us three girls (sister, mom, and I) went to the flea market to shop for Christmas gifts. The open area of a mall near our place has been transformed into a shopping place where good bargains can be found. My mom went to an ATM to withdraw some money when I spotted this cute Christmas inspired music box. I was only able to take out my cell phone to capture the scene, hence the not so good colors. Lighting was a bit bad, too, it was a bit dark and I cannot use the flash because the light might burst and ruin the shot.

Water

I was supposed to pass this one because I thought I will check out the Yummy Magazine event in Salcedo Village weekend market (Makati City), but then rains kept on pouring here, and I didn't want to get wet because I plan to take lots of pictures. If I do go out, imagine how hard it must be if I go to an open weekend market, taking pictures with umbrella... certainly hard, and I don't want to risk getting our camera wet.

Anyway, since I have more time here in the house today, I can post my photo hunt for this week, yey!!! Here's my entry:

Burnham Park

This is the Burnham Park in Baguio City at 7 in the morning. Still a quiet site to see, but in just about two hours more, this park will be filled with people. Actually, the park already has quite a bunch of visitors even this early - people who jog around the park and people who just wanted to chill and relax, like what me and my sister did the time we were there. By the way, this is a man-made lagoon located in the middle of the park.

It has been three months since we last visited the place, and I am starting to miss Baguio now. Happy weekends, everyone!

WS - Gone Bald

I was passing by the neighborhood when I saw this plant. It got me so interested because all the other plants are alive, yet this small tree looked like it's dead already. It's funny, isn't it? I had a hard time taking a picture because sun was so bright, and I forgot to change the settings in my cell phone. I wonder what happened to this tree. But I admit, I found it a bit cute!

Full Moon

Last Wednesday, my sister and I met up with a friend. She's originally from Bohol and she was just here in Metro Manila for a training/seminar. She was not that familiar with the place, so instead of meeting me in Glorietta, she asked me if I could just meet her by the fountain of the Peninsula Manila hotel. I saw no problem with that, after all, it was one cool landmark perfect for pictures.

My sister and I got to the place earlier than the proposed meeting time, so we busied ourselves in taking pictures. While trying to frame the building, I noticed that it was full moon that day, so I took a picture of that, too. I have always loved the moon (I find it really dramatic), and seeing it a little close really provided that touch that I wanted in the picture.

Thanks for dropping by.

Clear Blue Skies

This one was taken last Sunday, in the Carmelites' Monastery located in Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac. My scrapbooking friends and I went there to give the money the scrapbookers raised to help build their chapel, and as they showed us around, I was in awe of how beautiful the sky is! The clouds provide good embellishing and over all, it's a pretty great sight. Summer's definitely here!
