Dutch Clogs Keychain

Last Saturday, I met up with some of the members of Litratong Pinoy, a group of Filipino photo enthusiasts. There were only 10 of us (8 members plus 2 - my brother and Arvin's sister), and together we strolled along Intramuros, visiting Manila Cathedral, Fort Santiago, San Agustin Church, and capping the day off at Luneta (Rizal Park).

While waiting for our lunch to be served, Thess handed out some gifts (she's from Holland). I got this very cute wooden Dutch clogs keychain. Ain't it cute? Well, I personally wrote a pair of yellow wooden Dutch clogs in my wishlist long ago, and although I didn't get a yellow pair and I couldn't wear this, I was really ecstatic receiving this one. I already started collecting key chains, and this one really makes a great addition.

Thanks so much for the keychain, Thess! I really loved the gift, but I loved meeting you and some of the guys walking around the city more. Hope we all could meet again.

Another Pink Flower

Here I am again... posting a picture of another nameless flower. I saw this one at the grounds of Bauang Church in La Union last summer while waiting for the staff to open the doors of the church so we could get inside and pray and take pictures. Our neighbor owns a bonsai of the same plant, but I don't know the name. Can anyone tell me what's this called?

Garden Eel

One of the creatures I loved in the Manila Ocean Park. They're so adorable and so cute, especially then they all go down and come back up again. Quality of picture wasn't that good, sorry. Taken on 15 June 2008 using my Sony Ericsson K800i cell phone set to auto, no flash.

Cat's Whiskers

I was arranging my files when I saw these pictures and thought of sharing this for Wordless Wednesday:

As usual, this will be "Wordy Wednesday" again.... I know I shouldn't tell about the pictures, I just can't stop typing the details. But okay, I will make it short. =)

This flower is called "Cat's Whiskers" here for obvious reasons. My dad planted the first of its kind in our front yard because someone told him that the water where you boiled the leaves into is a good medicinal drink. I tried it once and it was really, really bitter! The plants just grows and grows to the point that we would uproot some to give way to the other plants.

The Painting's on the Wall

When I went to friend Ahdz's hometown to celebrate their fiesta, her mom ran out of some ingredients for the dish she was cooking, so she asked Ahdz to go to the store and buy the stuffs. Of course I went with her, no sense staying inside the house when you know there are some happenings outside, right?

While waiting for the store staff to wrap the goodies, I saw this establishment called, "Nonoy's Place" and what's so cool was that their outer wall was covered with this cool painting! Ahdz said it's basically a restaurant that also teaches art lessons. On that day, there were some free face painting and I surely wanted to have that, but we had to hurry back home.
