From Vigan

Just like what I did with Camera Critters, I decided to do series of photos for Today's Flowers, too. I figured doing a series of related pictures would help me organize my photo files, thus eliminatingdouble posting here in the blog.

Today's Flowers

Lantana

For this month of February, I will be posting pictures of the lantana flower. My first shooting experience with this flower wasn't really that good. Every time I try to get a picture of it, it always end up blurred. That reason made me more interested with this flower, that every time I see one, I always have this urge to just take a picture of it. Lately, I have been friends with the flower, and my pictures aren't that blurred anymore.

This flower was shot in Vigan City, when my friend K and I had our vacation there. On our first day in the city, we went to Baluarte and saw this picture inside the Butterfly Sanctuary. Of all the kinds of lantana flowers, this is my favorite - pink with yellow.

Hi Jenn, this is a beautiful flower! Ang unique dahil sa multiple colors. :)

Happy Monday!

I envy you--your flowers have names.

This is one beautiful shot. And may I make a suggestion about your signature? Since eliminating them is so very easy in Photoshop, you might consider moving the signature to a less prominent part of the photo, like the bottom edge. I mean, anyone who really wants to steal the photo so easily can remove the name, and if your name is on there at all then people who care can identify you, and your blog viewers could enjoy the flower better without the letters in the way. Just my two cents.

Hi Jenn, this is such a great close-up of a very pretty flower. I'm glad you didn't stop after a few blurry photos. Your persistance paid off. I love this photo.

You did a good job Jenn! they were probably blurred because P & S cams really take longer to auto focus and when the shutter automatically sets to a slower speed, it usually causes a blur... hehehe I had the same problem before with my P & S... :)
