Hibiscus Bloom

Hibiscus

Hibiscus

Another flower from Aunt Rosa's garden. I woke up early that day, and saw this rather closed hibiscus and thought it was an interesting sight, so I took some pictures. After a while, Uncle Marcial called on me and asked if I already have taken a picture of their hibiscus flower, and when I went up to him to have him repeat what he asked, I was surprised that the flower has bloomed. I am not sure if it was just sleeping (I tend to believe flowers are closed during the night and opens in the morning, but not really sure), of it really bloomed already, but of course, I took another shot of it.

As always, I struggled with focusing on the red flower. Parts are blurred, but I do hope this post is okay enough. Thanks for stopping by.

hi Jenn! love your photos. Yes, some flowers do "sleep" at night and one of it is the Gumamela.

This is such a beautiful flower. I have some house plants that sleep at night, a green shamrock and a red one... they both open in morning and close up at night.

I love that red color. My Hibiscus do close up at night, and maybe they are sleeping. Nice post, Happy RT.

I like that the photo is focused on the stamin I believe it adds character to the shot.

That is a beautiful flower. I too have trouble focusing, but I think that a less-than-perfect shot has more character than one that looks totally professional.

Beautiful shot. I had a hibiscus as a feature a few weeks ago and it was a huge hit.

The red is stunning on this flower, but the yellow inside really caught my eye!

I wonder if flowers dream? And if so do they dream of bees and sunshine and rainstorms? Do they have nightmares about beetles? Lovely photos.
