Will post more pictures from the garden next time. Our orchids is about to give some flowers, too, and our hibiscus plant has some buds now. Sorry if this one's a bit blurred.

It wasn't a timed shot, she just aimed and shoot - hoping that shot will do wonders for her. Surprisingly, the cell phone captured this one:
... a painted phrase on a block of cement that says, "Bawal ang Tamad!" - english translation: "being lazy is not allowed." Nice, eh? Actually, each town in the Philippines has a a different, unique phrase or slogan, I just wasn't able to take pictures of it. Glad the cell phone was able to take this one, not only do I have an entry this week, I also have a reminder not to be lazy everyday. This isn't picture perfect - which made it truly unique in its own way.
Happy weekends!

English Translation:
This is my first week to join "Litratong Pinoy." At first I was a bit hesitant if I will join or not because I am not a professional photographer, but then it was said in the guidelines that one must not really be a professional photographer in order to join. The important thing is, all photography aficionados can come together even just once a week. This week's theme is "elongated in shape." It's already Thursday night, and I cannot find anything interesting to take pictures of, so I just searched my files. Here's the first photo I've seen.
It was, I think, February or March when I took this photo in our little garden. It was this time of the year when this orchid bear flowers, and when I took this one, I was taking pictures of the different flowers in our garden. This was the only one that's still in the budding stage, but the flowers opened up one by one after a few days.
This picture was taken using my Sony Ericsson K8ooi cell phone in auto, set in macro mode. Thanks a lot for dropping by my post for this week, Hopefully I can join in the game weekly.

I saw this one in Ali Mall, Cubao - when me and my friend Ahdz strolled around the mall. This one is from a shop that sell all sorts of accessories for cell phones. They also have a few stuffed toys for sale and when I saw this, I cannot help but laugh. There's something about Mr. Bean that's truly funny.

This one I took December 2007, at that time rains to be pouring in the wee hours of the morning, so upon waking up, I was greeted with plants soaking wet. I was in the shutter mode that day so I took my cell phone and take some shots. This one is our neighbor's plant, by the way.

We don't have a big mirror in the house, so the only way I can practice doing this when sister and I are in the mall, for most restrooms have big mirrors. When we were in Gateway Mall (Cubao, Quezon City), I asked sister if we can try take pictures in front of the mirror and here's the outcome:
This one's taken using my cell phone. Do note how my sister seem to have mastered this thing, and I definitely looked awkward.
This one was taken by my sister's cell phone - she's using Motorola RAZRV3X. In this picture, although I looked a bit okay, my phone was covering part of my face!
Which now leads me to these questions: how can I take a much better picture in front of the mirror? How should I hold the camera? I guess I have to go in a big mirrored place to practice more on this one.

My sister and I got to the place earlier than the proposed meeting time, so we busied ourselves in taking pictures. While trying to frame the building, I noticed that it was full moon that day, so I took a picture of that, too. I have always loved the moon (I find it really dramatic), and seeing it a little close really provided that touch that I wanted in the picture.
Thanks for dropping by.
