Wow, round three of ABC Wednesday starts today! Yey! I am happy I could be part of round three, because it was already late of round two when I started joining here. I hope I will be able to take part every week from here on out.
This is the Agoo Church in Agoo, La Union (read as: ago-o). Last May, I had the privilege in checking out this wonderful church together with my brother. La Union is the province of our late father, and since I was there already (we have a house in the town of Bacnotan), I asked brother if we could check out this church. It took us two hours to get there, but of course, once we were there, we were both happy to set foot there again. I admit the last time I was here was when I was still a child (maybe 8 or 9 years old), when our Aunt Julie still worked at a hospital in the town. After that, the only time I could say "I was there" was every time the bus pass by the town.
Also called Basilica de Nuestra Senora de la Caridad (Basilica Minore of Our Lady of Charity), this parish was founded in 1578. Of course, it had gone through many changes, but it was elevated to basilica in 1982. To read more about my trip to the church, please click HERE.
This picture was using my Canon Powershot A580 digital camera, set to auto, without flash.
ABC Wednesday has a new house and a new set of rules, I am not sure if participants would still hop by this blog, but nevertheless, here's my entry.
