I wasn't able to take good pictures on February 19, so February 20 I made sure I brought my camera with me where I go so I could have something to share. This is where my sister and (sometimes) our neighbor friend Ria jog most mornings in the week. That day, my sister had a mild asthma attack so she wasn't able to come with Ria and I. I was taking pictures of a passiflora when Ria told me she would just walk around instead of standing waiting for me. When I got up to continue walking, I noticed the clouds looked like fireworks, so I took a picture before catching up with her. She's the person in the picture in case you wanted to know. :)
02 - Black History Month / Cultural
Baguio City, Benguet

I do own a necklace made of big wooden beads given to me by my Nigerian friend Jude, but I wasn't able to take a picture of it before sister and I left, so I decided to go something cultural. This picture I took during the Panagbenga Festival held in Baguio City. The girls are wearing traditional Igorot costumes, the tribe living in this part of the country. Although I cannot say for sure if the girls have the Igorot blood (Baguio City is a melting pot of different people coming from different locations), but even if majority of the people in the city aren't really Igorot, the city and the province respect the tribe so much that most of the contingents for the grand street parade wore traditional Igorot costumes.
The colorful fabric they were wearing were actually woven by hand.

I didn't like this picture when I first shared it through Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday meme, and I really hoped to take something different, but decided against it. I hoped to open a can of corn kernels, but I knew I couldn't eat it all, and I didn't want to open the box of Vienna Sausages containing 18 cans of the food, so I decided to just go with this picture instead.
04 - Everyday

Not only do I eat everyday, I also take food pictures everyday because my Project 365 for this year is all about food! Not only do I get to make sure I finish a Project 365 (first two attempts failed), I also got to make a food log - where I list down all the things I have eaten.

I was invited to a food blog event, and not only were we able to take home goodies, we also tried our hands in decorating cupcakes using provided icings (of different flavors) and candy sprinkles. This wasn't my decoration, though... but one of my favorites on the table.
06 - Macro

A macro shot of one of the bracelets in my mom's closet. Made of strung beads, I really had fun testing the depth of field in taking pictures of it.

My three year old Cysho... I do love this cell phone of mine because not only do I get to stay connected with friends and family (including relatives), I can also capture live events using its oh-so-good camera. :)
08 - Something Cozy

My dear cat Oreo trying to sleep using my jogging pants as his bed. Well, me turning on my camera woke him up, so I had no choice but to take a picture of him like this.

A grass resembling a furry cat's tail against the sunrise.

When I signed up for the challenge, this item was something easy to do considering I will be traveling out of town, but as I check my files, I realized I totally neglected taking a particular red image. I hope this red fire tree would do justice to the prompt. :)
11 - Something White
Shrine of Our Lady of Namacpacan - Luna, La Union
28 February 2011
For this day, my sister and I went to check the St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish in the town of Luna, and as we pay respect to the image of Our Lady of Namacpacan, I noticed the bunch of white mums in the vases, and took a picture before leaving. :)
12 - View From Above
Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point - San Fernando, La Union

I have seen the place three or four times already, but since my sister still hasn't seen it, I decided to take her there. Security was tight following the local actor John Estrada's wedding to former Miss Earth Priscilla Mereilles, but we were able to get in and catch the view. When I took this picture, the stairway to the pool area was closed so I just took a picture from above (using one of the holes in the wall as my frame). A few minutes later, they opened area to guests so sis and I were still able to go to the boardwalk.
So there were the 12 pictures for this month's hunt. If you want to check the other takes, just click HERE. Thanks to Aimee for hosting this month's hunt.
