Mosquito

Mosquito

When brother and I were walking back to the hotel after seeing the sunrise on Rizal Boulevard when I stopped by a row of flower pots along the road. My goal was to take macro shots of flowers, but I saw a little more than just flower. Good thing this mosquito didn't fly away as I took pictures of it. Well, I'd rather have it in picture than in my skin - this kind of mosquito bites quite painful.

Good Friday Walk

Last April 10, I, together with my Singles for Christ friends did a "Good Friday Walk" and walked for nearly two hours to this wonderful novitiate. It wasn't an easy walk - it was so sunny and humid, and the road we took had it's uphill and downhill slopes. But, we all decided to do this, so we had to stand by our decision.We spent a whole day in the novitiate and it was a nice time for us to reflect. At 5PM, we walked back to where we started. We were able to see the sunset and it was a great gift.

Hardin (Garden)

Japanese Garden

Japanese Garden

{This image was taken November of last year. My British friend K went back to the Philippines and invited me to go with him on a holiday for ten days. On our second day, we went to Rizal Park and visited the Japanese Garden.}

M = Man-Made Forest

Man Made Forest

The Man-Made Forest is located in the boundary of Bilar and Loboc towns in the province of Bohol. In November 2008, my friend K and I went to Bohol and was able to see the beauty of the place. Lots and lots of mahogany trees planted by the people living in the area to prevent soil erosion. It took quite a long time before the place became as beautiful as this, but as you can see all the efforts were paid off. Not only did they help the environment, it has also become a wonderful landmark.

Taoist Temple

Taoist Temple

Another image I took while in Cebu City. On my last day in the city, I asked my brother if he could accompany me to the Taoist Temple. I was told by a friend that I should visit this place, so even if I have the whole morning to just lounge in the hotel room as we prepare for our travel to Negros Oriental, I opted to visit the temple. And why not? As of this writing, I am not sure if I can still go back to Cebu, so while there, I really had to maximize my time and the opportunity.

It rained when we got there, but I was happy that all things weren't wasted. This image was shot as we enter the place. A sneak peek of the great things to see in the area.
