Loan - Tempted to Have One

As soon as I got my social security number and I started giving my monthly contribution, my late father would always persuade me applying for a "salary loan" - just so I would know how it would feel. Before he retired, he used to work in that company and is a supervisor in the loans department, and although I am not part of his scope (the branch where he used to work was so far from where we live), he did explain to me the pros and cons of having one, and because of that, never did I make an attempt to apply for one.

Up to this day, I am happy to say that I still haven't had a Loan. I guess the fear of not being able to pay it off hinders me, but aside from that reason, I actually feel no need to open one. Not that we are rich, it's just that I guess my needs are so minimal that my current financial status can still carry me through.

The "ber" months just started, and "ber" months mean the start of Christmas season here in the Philippines. I still haven't checked the malls, but for sure preparations are made to put up those lights and lanterns. This also means that I need to save up for the presents I need to give to my family, friends, and godchildren. As early as now, I could say that I am so tempted to open some Personal Loans, should my current savings won't be enough for my Christmas list.

I am also thinking of getting Small Business Loans for me and brother because we really need to start filling our wallets for our own welfare. I don't know what his plans are, but I sure hope we could get on a good track before the year ends. Yeah, too much to think about, but I am sure if I can just focus, I will be able to lay down some good bricks for me to walk on.

Hibiscus Bloom

Another flower from Aunt Rosa's garden. I woke up early that day, and saw this rather closed hibiscus and thought it was an interesting sight, so I took some pictures. After a while, Uncle Marcial called on me and asked if I already have taken a picture of their hibiscus flower, and when I went up to him to have him repeat what he asked, I was surprised that the flower has bloomed. I am not sure if it was just sleeping (I tend to believe flowers are closed during the night and opens in the morning, but not really sure), of it really bloomed already, but of course, I took another shot of it.

As always, I struggled with focusing on the red flower. Parts are blurred, but I do hope this post is okay enough. Thanks for stopping by.

Can I Be a Good Photographer?

I was chatting with a friend sometime ago and he told me that I have the eye for photography. Being a newbie with no formal training, I can't help but smile that someone admires my shots. He suggested I should buy those high-end cameras, but at the moment, I still cannot attend to that. I told him it's very expensive to own a DSLR at this point, but I do agree that he has a point that owning one could be a good investment. He said maybe in time I could make a business out of it - either by putting up a studio or becoming a freelance photographer.

Honestly, I am dreaming of that. Like Grasyah, an online friend in Multiply, she also dreams of owning her own studio. Good for her, she already started learning the techniques because she already owns the camera. I only use point and shoot, and sometimes, my cell phone. If only I could have a Business Loan from a company just like EZUnsecured.com that has fast funding, with excellent service, and easy process, I might plunge right in. But then, I guess before I could open a new chapter in my life and be pursue that track, I really have to make sure it is what I wanted so that nothing is wasted.

I guess right now, I would just enjoy owning the camera that I have. Maybe in time I could get to meet a friend who owns a DSLR and let me borrow it so I could explore it, and if I liked the feeling, then I might push through. Business Loans are very serious matters, and I, for one, have to be very sure that what I am embarking on is something I won't regret.

Rusted and Abandoned

When we went to Fort Santiago last Aug 09, This metal sculpture really caught my attention. It was good, and wonderfully done, yes, but I still cannot think what this kind of sculpture is doing in a place like that. For those who don't know, Fort Santiago is where the national hero, Jose P. Rizal was imprisoned before his execution in Luneta more than 100 years ago. The place is rather big, and somewhere is this old abandoned building with these sculptures in front.

I am really impressed at how the sculpture was made, but because it was already abandoned, I wasn't able to see any information about it. How I wish I knew who created this and what's the message behind it. If somebody knows information about the sculpture, just feel free to inform me. Thanks!

From Aunt Jo's Garden

My mom and I visited Aunt Jo (her older sister), and while waiting for Aunt Mely and her kids (they were visiting, too), I went to their garden and took pictures of their plants. Their garden is really colorful with the mix of white, pink, and yellow flowers, and this one really interested me because we don't have this plant in our house.

I don't know what's this plant / flower called; but Aunt Jo said that this one's very easy to grow, and they multiply quite fast as well. Needless to say, my mom and I pulled out a baby plant and took it home. We still haven't planted it in soil, but it's still alive in the vase. No flowers yet, but maybe after the rainy season, we will put it in our own garden.

Can anyone tell what kind of flower this is? Thanks!
